Troop 351's Thursday, September 11 got off to a disturbing start. Scoutmaster Paul found that the troop trailer had disappeared from where it was parked next to his house, sometime in the early morning hours. The trailer had been custom-built by Troop 351 Eagle Scout Jonathan's grandfather, and painted and decorated by troop members.

Paul spread the word on the troop's Yahoo group, and Ronda contacted the media. Local TV and radio reported the loss.

On the way to her office late in the afternoon, Wendy and Parker spotted the trailer on Powell, painted black with a sign "For Sale $500 or Best Offer - call Tony at 503-960-1626".

When it was found, KGW was on the scene before the police were. See KGW for more info. Thanks to Channel 8 for helping us get the police report filed.

When Scoutmaster Paul took a closer look at the "For Sale" sign, he found that it had been used numerous times, with previous trailer dimensions and description taped over. So "Tony" had attempted a number of trailer sales before this one.
