Four adults and four youth of Troop and Crew 351 undertook a backpack on Mount Hood, starting just north of the Eliot Glacier. They camped at Elk Cove, then continued counterclockwise around the mountain on the Timberline Trail. Heavy snow made the going was slow and routefinding challenging. While the plan was to continue into Lost Lake on Sunday, they cut the trip short Saturday evening, emerging at Top Spur trailhead on the west side.
