Troop 351 travelled to Cave Junction on Friday, stopping at Alton Baker Park in Eugene and Wildlife Safari in Winston. We camped at Chinquapin near Oregon Caves National Monument. We toured the caves, did some hiking, lashing, and geo-caching. A brief but intense thunder and lightning storm Friday night set a fire in the hills behind us, and we watched the smoke and firefighter activity all weekend.
